Slice Type Transition for Final Cut Pro
Use this transition in conjunction with my tutorial 3D Type with Animated Transitions in Final Cut Pro and create an awesome SUPER SMASH BROS style type setup.
Install the Plugin Effect – Instructions
1. Download the ZIP file (Slice Transition.zip).
2. Create a Folder titled ‘Ben Halsall’ in Your Movies Folder that you will find here:
Macintosh HD ▸ Users ▸ <your username> ▸ Movies ▸ Motion Templates ▸ Transitions
3. Unzip and copy the folder ‘Slice Transition’ to the folder ‘Ben Halsall’.
4. Open Final Cut Pro X and your new plugin will appear in your Transitions panel for you to go ahead and use.
6. Drag the transition onto an edit point between two clips and adjust the duration of the transition to change its speed.
